Our
Work

Pillars

The Rodham Institute, housed within Georgetown University’s School of Medicine, We believe that academic medical centers can and should be an active part of the solutions to eliminate health disparities. To achieve health equity in our nation’s capital, we are focused on the following four areas:

p1

Community Collaborations

Creating opportunities and supporting initiatives led by communities with a shared commitment toward health equity in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

p2

Training Current and Future Health Professionals in Applied Health Equity

Educating the interprofessional medical community on identifying and addressing social determinants of health to improve the wellbeing of our patients and communities.

p3

Youth Education Programming

We work with middle and high school students to deepen and sustain their interest in sciences, health education, intervention and advocacy. They are offered diverse and quality experiences in order to gain and develop skills that directly relate to their future goals.

p4

Workforce Development

Increasing the number of health professionals from communities in need by creating initiatives that educate and train individuals to meet the needs of the current and future healthcare industry.
